(More) Freeview Changes Ahoy!

This week the Freeview powers that be have decided to gift us with the previously subscription only channel ‘W’ on channel 25. Unceremoniously kicking Dave Ja Vu down to number 74. Fortunately they’re both owned by UKTV play , so we’re unlikely to see any oscar level violence over it.

“W” – Channel 25: UKTV’s channel is dedicated to lifestyle, reality shows and entertainment, and is the home of MasterChef in the UK. Learn more about “W” here.

Apart from that it’s just two specialist Arabic News channels we’re getting.

Asharq News – Channel 272: An international news service in Arabic, based in Saudi Arabia.

Al Arabiya – Channel 273: Another international Arabic news station, based in Dubai. 

A few of the regular channels are changing the specific numbers here and there, so it may be worth doing a quick retune to make sure recorders etc all stay up to date!
